Organizational Certification
Introduction
The world has changed, technology has impacted almost every part of our society, and because of this, educators are required to stay up-to-date in pedagogical practices. The needs of our society have changed and the world our students will enter when they have left their formal schooling is full of unknowns. It is for these reasons that educators must find meaningful ways to improve their craft. Professional educators, want to spend professional development time on things that are relevant to them and their students, or at least, connected to school initiatives. Here at IPLNA we understand this desire and provide certifications to organizations, forums, social media platforms, and other Web 2.0 tools that can support teachers in their professional learning process.
Dr. Shannon H. Doak, IPLNA’s Founder, has created a research-informed framework that will assist professional educators in their journey to become better at what they do. This framework is called SCHOOLS©. SCHOOLS© stands for Self Created Human Organized Online Learning System.
The SCHOOLS© framework, along with IPLNA’s mission, vision, and beliefs, are the foundations of our certification process and helps us guide our decision in awarding certifications to organizations.
Organizations that enable educators to connect and learn from each other are an integral part of the SCHOOLS© framework. IPLNA will certify only those organizations that fit our criteria for certification.
